An unexpected summer eruption of big waves on the eastern coast of Lake Superior on August 25, 2025. I managed to get out for a few hours on the rugged shoreline of the largest of the great lakes with 17 North Photography to capture some of the giant waves. Lake Superior never disappoints when she’s in a fury. The waves on this day were quite large for a summer time storm.
